UPDATE : Inga Lake area wildfire now listed as ‘being held’.

Update (7:56 p.m., May 24th): BC Wildfire Service has now listed the fire as ‘being held’

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The Wildfire reported five kilometres east of Inga Lake is now listed as ‘being held,’ according to the BC Wildfire Service (BCWS)

BCWS last updated on the wildfire around 7:05 p.m. on Friday evening, May 24th, and says the suspected cause of the fire was lightning.

A fire listed as ‘being held’ is a wildfire projected to stay within its perimeter due to fuel, available resources, and current weather conditions.

The fire is currently listed at 0.056 hectares.

A “full” response to limit the fire’s spread has been taken, according to the BCWS.
