Investigation underway after homeless man injured in Sacramento crash

Sacramento police are investigating a crash Wednesday night that injured a homeless man. The Sacramento Fire Department said a car crashed into a strip mall on Stockton Boulevard near Fruitridge Road. Officials said the man was sitting up against the building under the awning when the car crashed. The man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, the fire department said. The driver involved in the crash was not injured. The crash also caused damage to a vacant storefront and an adjacent building, officials said.
