Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner Mark 14th Anniversary: 'Feel Pretty Free Living in Miami' (Exclusive)
Amidst Donald Trump's legal troubles, a source tells PEOPLE that the couple are doing better than ever, and loving their new life down by the beach
Ivanka Trump isn't letting her father's legal troubles get in the way of her marital bliss.
On Oct. 25, the former senior advisor to the Trump administration, 41, took to Instagram to give an anniversary shout-out to her husband Jared Kushner, 42, whom she's been married to for 14 years.
"Celebrating 14 years (!!!) of love, laughter, wild rides and endless adventures with my rock, Jared! 🥂♥️," she wrote. "I am so thankful for this beautiful life and family we’ve built together."
A source tells PEOPLE that they are still very in love — and also love living in Miami, where they "feel pretty free."
"They're a solid couple," the source says. "They weathered a lot over the past eight years, the kind of stuff that would test anyone's relationship, but they've somehow come out stronger."
Donald Trump has been in the news throughout the year, not only as a presidential candidate but as a four-time indictee facing a total of 91 criminal counts. He is currently in New York for separate civil trial proceedings in a fraud case brought by the attorney general.
Earlier this year, Trump also was the subject of a civil sexual abuse and defamation case filed by writer E. Jean Carroll, who claimed that the former president forced himself upon her at a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room nearly three decades prior.
However, the source affirms that Ivanka and Jared have distanced themselves from politics altogether, and instead are concentrating on raising their three children in Miami.
"They know they still have to be careful with what they say and how they act, but they have no interest in a life where they are followed by cameras ever again," the source says.

"Jared's spending a lot more time with his family because over the last four years that was something neither of them could do as much as they wanted to," a source previously told PEOPLE, who added that "Jared will say, 'The nice thing about Miami is the moment you stop working, you're on vacation.'"
Meanwhile, Ivanka was recently a guest at Kim Kardashian's 43rd birthday party at the restaurant Funke in Los Angeles.
"Ivanka and Kim go way back," the source tells PEOPLE.
