Jameela Jamil Mourns Friend Isabelle Thomas, the “Killers of the” “Flower Moon” Producer's Wife Who Died by Suicide
"My heart is completely and utterly broken and I don't think I will ever recover," said Jameela Jamil
Jameela Jamil is mourning the sudden loss of friend Isabelle Lawrence Thomas, who was found dead at a Los Angeles hotel on Monday.
The 39-year-old's death was listed by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's office as a suicide. Isabelle shared twins Poppy and Grace with producer Bradley Thomas, whom she married in 2018. Thomas is one of the Oscar-nominated producers behind the Martin Scorsese film Killers of the Flower Moon.
Jamil and her musician boyfriend James Blake were friends with Isabelle, aka Izzy, a former DJ and model. The Good Place actress, 37, spoke out on Instagram after the news.
"I lost a friend very suddenly this week. Don't wait til later. Don't presume you can just grow old together. Don't presume the world is fair or makes sense. Don't take anyone or anything you love for granted for a minute," she wrote Thursday.
"My heart is completely and utterly broken and I don't think I will ever recover," added Jamil.
The British model/actress added that she was "supposed to see" Isabelle "a few weeks ago and couldn't because I was busy with stupid f---ing work."
"I missed the chance to tell her I love her. And to hold her one last time," Jamil wrote. "This is your reminder to put loved ones first so you never have the excruciating regret that I have right now. F--- work. F--- the nonsense. Call your loved ones."
Thomas and Isabelle attended red carpet events and premieres together over the years, and they most recently posed together at the 2024 BAFTA Tea Party at the Maybourne Beverly Hills on Jan. 13, in Beverly Hills.
According to Deadline, Isabelle's family has requested any donations in her honor be made to the Mental Health Coalition.
