Jays acquire Reyes, Buehrle, Johnson from Marlins: report

According to multiple reports, the Toronto Blue Jays have acquired shortstop Jose Reyes, starting pitchers Mark Buehrle and Josh Johnson, as well as catcher John Buck and outfielder Emilio Bonifacio from the Miami Marlins.

A person familiar with the deal confirmed only Johnson's deal to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Tuesday because the teams weren't commenting amid talk they had agreed to a blockbuster deal.

However, MLB Insider Ken Rosenthal and Jon Morosi of FOXSports.com confirmed the deal on Twitter, reporting that Jays shortstops Yunel Escobar and Adeiny Hechavarria, along with starter Henderson Alvarez and prospect pitcher Justin Nicolino are headed to Miami.

Outfield prospects Anthony Gose and Jake Marisnick have also been named in the rumours.

"It's a good day to be bluejay!" tweeted Blue Jays slugger Jose Bautista.

More to come.
