Jeremy Renner Says Robert Downey Jr. Kept His Spirits Up During Accident Recovery
Robert Downey Jr. checked in frequently with Jeremy Renner after the latter’s 2023 snowplow accident.
In an interview with People, Renner joked that the Oscar-winning actor’s FaceTime calls felt “like we were dating or something.”

“He’s like, ‘Dude, the most important thing is you look good. I don’t care how you feel, as long as you look good that’s all that matters,” Renner said.
Renner said Downey Jr. said he and his wife were also big fans of Mayor Of Kingstown, so he wanted him to get well he could continue to work on the program.
“He’s like, ‘You’ve got to get back to do Mayor, because we need to see what happens.’ His ways are very heartwarming,” Renner said.
The two friends have costarred as Hawkeye and Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including in the Avengers film series.
