John Travolta is appreciating the simple things in life.

The Cash Out actor, 70, took a moment to rave about the lovely weather in California on his Instagram Stories on Sunday, April 28.

In a selfie video that the star shared on the platform, he looked around his back yard before offering his fans a glimpse of the scenery.

"Once in a while, you just have to appreciate the most beautiful, glorious California day," Travolta said as the camera was facing him, before tuning it around to show off the view — which featured his pool, plenty of palm trees and a sunny blue sky.

"Look at this," he marveled.

Travolta has long appreciated nature, and even encourages his kids to enjoy their time outdoors. Back in March, the actor shared a post dedicated to his 13-year-old son, Ben, along with a highlight reel from his latest ski trip to Colorado.

The clip, soundtracked by Foo Fighter's "Learn to Fly," showed the teen zipping through the slopes as his dad cheered him on while filming.

"I’m so proud of my son Ben’s progress," Travolta captioned the post, before specifying: "First clip is the steepest run in Snowmass!"

Travolta, who also shares 24-year-old daughter Ella Bleu and late son Jett with late wife Kelly Preston, even took his kids on a skiing trip around Christmas.

And even at home in California, Travolta still knows how to take in the scenery. At the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on April 18, he and his Pulp Fiction cast mates reunited to celebrate the film's 30th anniversary red carpet and panel event.

The actor, who played Vincent Vega in the movie, called the film "epic" and one that "evolved" over time.

“The audiences made this movie what it was, and it wasn't overnight. It took about a year of evolution," he said. "In those days, movies stayed in the theaters for a year. So, by the end of the year of it being, it was planetarily epic.”

Uma ThurmanSamuel L. Jackson and Harvey Keitel were also in attendance at the event, among other stars from the film. As Travolta told PEOPLE at the screening, the film actually “found” him.

"I never had preconceived ideas of actually what I needed or should have, but it kind of found me more than I found it, because [director] Quentin [Tarantino] was such a die-hard fan of mine that he had this fantasy of working with me in something,” Travolta said.

“It wasn't necessarily Pulp Fiction. It could have been anything. And then, it suddenly found its way into that movie," he continued. "After a couple of meetings when he said, ‘Maybe I won't go this way. Maybe I'll go the Travolta way.’ Because he had talked about [From] Dusk Till [Dawn]. And I wasn't interested in vampires really. So he said, ‘Okay, well, you like the other idea?’ I said, ‘Yeah, I do.’ And it all evolved."
