Jonnie Irwin says he hasn't slept for six nights in update from hospital

Jonnie Irwin told fans he had "not slept for six nights” as he shared an update from hospital amid his cancer battle.
The A Place In The Sun star told fans in 2022 that he had been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, which has now spread to his brain. He has continued to document his caner fight on social media and shared his latest Instagram snap as he awaited an MRI.
The image showed Irwin clad in a hospital gown as he told fans: “This is look of a man who’s not slept for 6 nights and awaiting a full body MRI scan of at least an hour. If you haven’t had one they’re claustrophobic and claustrophobic and omit loud random noises. Joy.”
Referring to the way his robe was tied, he said: “Take note on attempt of a jaunty not (sic) on my gown!” "I’m expecting to come out to news of India all out 195!” he added. The TV star added the hashtags “#alwaystrying #mri #livingwithcancer #nhs” to his moving post.
Irwin, who is also known for the show Escape To The Country, was told that he had terminal lung cancer in 2020.
He shared his diagnosis with fans in 2022, later explaining that one of the reasons he kept it to himself was that he didn't want to lose work. The star also said he didn't want people to treat him any differently.
Irwin has said he is determined to make the most of any time he has left with his wife Jess and their three sons – Rex, four, and three-year-old twins Rafa and Cormac - and regularly updates fans on Instagram on what they have been up to, documenting milestones and family days out.
His followers flocked to the comments section with tips and advice on coping with an MRI after the star shared the picture, assuring him: "You’ve got this Jonnie."
"All the positive thoughts in the world are coming your way," said one fan. "I know the feeling so thinking of you - stay strong - you're not alone," said another.
"Sending so much love and light to you and thinking of you so much ,you brave brave man," added someone else.
