Justin Timberlake has been released from police custody after being arrested for driving while intoxicated or impaired in the Hamptons last night, PEOPLE reports.

The "Can't Stop the Feeling" singer, 43, appeared in court for his arraignment in handcuffs on Tuesday and was released shortly afterward, per the outlet. A Sag Harbor police department representative previously told PEOPLE that the “Cry Me A River” singer, 43, was in custody at the station and that they'd be releasing a statement later today.

Although law enforcement did not confirm Timberlake’s charges to the outlet, a source told PEOPLE that he was pulled over while driving to his friend’s house after having dinner at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor. They added, "Nobody was hurt."

The Sag Harbor Police Department recently released a statement to PEOPLE.

"On June 18, 2024, at 12:37 AM, Justin R. Timberlake, age 43, of Tennessee, was observed operating a 2025 BMW southbound on Madison Street, failing to stop at a duly posted stop sign and failing to maintain his lane of travel. A traffic stop was initiated by a Police Officer from the Sag Harbor Village Police Department and upon investigation it was determined that Mr. Timberlake was operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition."

The statement continued, "Mr. Timberlake was placed under arrest, processed, and held overnight for morning arraignment. Mr. Timberlake was arraigned at the Sag Harbor Village Justice Court on June 18, 2024, at 9:30 AM where he was released on his own recognizance."

Timberlake will return to court for a hearing on June 26, which coincides with the final date of his two-night performance at Madison Square Garden in New York City. It is immediately unclear if the show will be affected as a result.

The *NSYNC member is currently on his Forget Tomorrow world tour and is scheduled to perform in Chicago next on June 21 and 22.
