Justin Timberlake Has Returned to Instagram Post-DWI Arrest

Though Justin Timberlake sagely predicted that his arrest would “ruin the tour…the world tour,” the tour ain’t dead yet, and the singer is back on social media promoting it.

In his first upload since the well-lit mugshot heard ’round the internet, the former boy bander held up a large T-shirt commemorating his Madison Square Garden show, a blue shirt with orange lettering, a.k.a. the colors of the New York Knicks, the basketball team that plays at MSG. “This is so important right now. Let’s go. Catch those Knicks colors,” Timberlake says in the video. Then he sings, “We had to do it!” and his camera operator says “bing bong” and then Justin says “bing bong.” Bing bong.

The comments on his Reels upload are, predictably, half from people asking for arrest-meme-themed merch and half from people lightly chastising him for (allegedly) driving under the influence. But the top comment is from none other than Travis Kelce, the NFL player who is also dating Taylor Swift. “🔥🔥🔥🔥 NEEED THAT ONE!!” the tight end wrote. TS and JT have not only interacted before; Timberlake was Swift’s childhood celebrity crush.

Justin Timberlake hasn’t addressed the Sag Harbor incident directly, though his lawyer did clarify what the charges were. However, during his first post-arrest concert, the singer said from the stage, “It’s been a tough week, but you’re here and I’m here, and nothing can change this moment right now…I know sometimes I’m hard to love but you keep on loving me and I love you right back.”

Timberlake’s wife, Jessica Biel, has also stayed silent and offline, though sources told Us Weekly that the 7th Heaven alum was “really worried” when she learned of the arrest. “Jessica is extremely upset,” the source said. “She was shocked to hear the news and had no idea as she was working.” Bing bong.
