Kate Middleton is having a glamorous evening — and so is the actress who plays the royal in The Crown!
While the Princess of Wales, 41, stepped out at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday for the annual Diplomatic Reception, The Crown's season 6 cast — including Meg Bellamy, who plays a young Kate — was also out in London for a red carpet celebration ahead of the Netflix show's final installment. While the first four episodes debuted last month, the second part of the show's last season will debut on Dec. 14.
Bellamy portrays Kate as a college student at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, where she and Prince William first crossed paths. At the event at the Royal Festival Hall, Bellamy posed with Ed McVey, who plays Prince William on the show.

At Buckingham Palace, Princess Kate joined Prince William, King Charles and Queen Camilla for the Diplomatic Reception, an annual event that welcomes hundreds of members of the Diplomatic Corps to the royal residence's State Rooms.
Keeping to the white-tie dress code, the Princess of Wales stunned in a tiara and gown. She replicated her look from Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa of Jordan's royal wedding banquet in June, pairing Queen Mary's Lover's Knot Tiara with a pink gown by Jenny Packham.
Just two weeks ago, Princess Kate had another tiara moment when she helped host President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Suk Yeo and First Lady Kim Keon Hee for a state banquet at Buckingham Palace. She made her debut in the Strathmore Rose Tiara, marking the fourth different tiara worn by the Princess of Wales during her royal life.

While Prince William and Princess Kate's love story will hit Netflix soon, it's unlikely that the real-life couple will be watching. Olivia Colman, who played Queen Elizabeth in seasons 3 and 4, asked Prince William about the show during a Buckingham Palace reception in 2019 — and admitted that it “didn’t go very well.”
"He asked what I was doing at the moment before he quickly added, ‘Actually, I know what you’re doing,’ ” Colman revealed on The Graham Norton Show.
“I was so excited and asked, ‘Have you watched it?’ ” she continued. “His answer was a firm, ‘No.’ But he was very charming and very lovely."
