Katy Perry is making sure Luke Bryan stays healthy.

During Sunday's episode of American Idol, the "Teenage Dream" singer made her fellow judge partake in a vitamin-filled IV drip on set of the ABC singing competition series after repeatedly encouraging the country star to get his nutrients.

Perry, 39, was already seated in the audition room with Lionel Richie when Bryan, 47, walked in, saw the IV drip next to his chair and cheekily asked, "Is that urine in there?"

"No, it is not," replied Richie, 74, while Perry jokingly shrugged.

"This season I was going to get vitamins into you, even if I had to stab you in the veins with them," she told Bryan. "After seven frickin' seasons, you ain't taken one of them!"

The "One Margarita" performer hadn't previously wanted to take vitamins by mouth, which inspired Perry to supply him with an IV drip at work. "I need Katy's vitamins, whatever you're on," he divulged.

"I told you! You'd be so much better with a little Cs and Ds and Es," quipped Perry, who filmed Bryan getting the IV inserted into his arm.

"Katy is making me take my first-ever IV with vitamins," said Bryan, narrating the pop superstar's video.

"Why do we have to go this route, Luke?" Perry shadily asked. "'Cause you won't orally take vitamins. We have to stick you with them."

While Bryan was physically connected to the IV drip, American Idol resumed auditions — and the next contestant, Aniston Pate, expressed confusion before performing an original song written for her mom.

At one point after the judges admitted Pate through to Hollywood, Bryan took out his IV drip and claimed removal was the most painful part of the process.

Perry's efforts to keep Bryan's health in order comes as she prepares to exit American Idol at the end of the current season. She announced her departure during a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and Richie spoke about his reaction in an interview on the same show shortly afterward.

"I'm not mad — it just made me run off the road when I first heard about it," the "Hello" performer laughed, adding: "My phone blew up."

While Richie didn't know about Perry leaving before she announced the news on Kimmel's show, he said "it makes sense."

“In other words: The reason I love coming on the show with you and the reason I’m doing American Idol is because I have 400 years of stories and a life in the music business. I have things that I’ve done," he told the host, 56.
