Keith Urban Wins ACM Entertainer of the Year Award, Thanks 'Baby Girl' Nicole Kidman & Daughters

Keith Urban continues his reign as the king of country.

The singer took home the top award of the night, entertainer of the year, at the 54th Academy Of Country Music Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, winning over fellow nominees Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Chris Stapleton and Jason Aldean. He picked up the same prize at November’s CMA Awards.

As the Aussie singer took the stage, he received a standing ovation from the audience, including wife Nicole Kidman, whom he thanked as he made his acceptance speech.

“Thank you so much. Baby Girl, I love you so much,” Urban said as Kidman — whom he’d smooched numerous times before collecting his prize — looked on lovingly.

“My team, thank you every one of you. To the fans out there, you are amazing. You have no idea what you mean to me. No idea,” added Urban, who went on to thank his and Kidman’s daughters Sunday Rose, 10, and Faith Margaret, 8.

This marks the first time that Urban, 51, has earned the title, despite nine nominations in the category since 2005. Urban — who also performed during the show — recently wrapped up his Graffiti U World Tour.

Absent among the nominees in the entertainer of the year category this year were any female artists, which didn’t go unnoticed by host Reba McEntire.

“It doesn’t make me very happy because we’ve got some very talented women who are out there working their butts off,” McEntire said while announcing the nominations on CBS This Morning in February. “I’m missing my girlfriends on this.”
