Kelly Clarkson has to walk away from Henry Golding after unintentionally making dirty 'meat' joke to him

"Did I just say that?"

A flushed Kelly Clarkson had to walk it off after she unintentionally made a dirty joke to guest Henry Golding on her talk show.

When the Crazy Rich Asians leading man stopped by Thursday's episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show to promote his recently released Guy Ritchie flick, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, he remarked that the energy in New York was much different from other places, adding that he recently had a pastrami sandwich for breakfast.

"Is that, like, a morning thing to do for New Yorkers?" Golding asked. It was not, according to the audience.

"So that's a faux pas? Damnit. I just felt like [eating] a pastrami sandwich."

"Did someone say it's a classic thing we do here?" Clarkson asked.

"No," Golding said. "I called my friend. I was like, 'I'm having breakfast. I'm gonna get a pastrami sandwich.' They're like, 'That is the strangest thing. That's weird. Meat first thing in the morning? No good.'"

"Well, steak and eggs," Clarkson responded, before casually adding, "I don't mind meat in the morning."

Aware of what she had just said, the host let out a defeated laugh, got up from her chair, and walked away from Golding, who also laughed it off.

"Are you serious?" she said to the audience. "Those are the words I used? Did I just say that?... Not a bad thing, though."

Golding currently stars opposite Henry Cavill, Alan Ritchson, Cary Elwes, and Eiza González in Ritchie's new spy action comedy, which centers on a ragtag group of soldiers that the British military recruits to strike against German forces during World War II. Golding's New York press tour also included a stop at Today earlier this week along with his fellow Henry.

"It's always fun filming with Guy because you never know what to expect," Golding said on the show. "You could turn up in the morning thinking your character is one thing, and suddenly 10 minutes later, after the first take, he's like, 'Eh, I'm not sure if that works.' You're always on your toes with Guy."
