Khloé and Kim Kardashian Reveal They've 'Never Had a Beer' Before: 'It's Kinda Sweet'

The sisters took their first sips during a recent family trip to Cabo, Mexico, featured in the first episode of 'The Kardashians' on Hulu

Khloé and Kim Kardashian had a surprising first in Mexico.

On Thursday's season premiere of The Kardashians, the sisters joined the rest of their family on a trip to Cabo. Upon arriving in the beachy locale, Kendall Jenner hands Khloé, 39, a Corona in the back of their car and she admits, "I've never had a regular beer."

She later elaborated in a confessional. "I have had a beer, only in Jamaica, a Red Stripe, and I loved it," Khloé said. "I've never had a Corona or I guess an American beer, I don't know. Is Corona American?"

As it turned out, Khloé was not the only Kardashian who had never tasted a cerveza before. Kim, 42, grabs the bottle in the car and takes a sip. "I don't think I would like it," she says before trying it. "Oh! It's kinda sweet," Kim adds, delighted.

Sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner expressed their shock that their older sisters had never had one of the most common alcoholic beverages.

"Beer is the best thing ever," says Kylie.

"That's crazy," says Kendall.

In 2022, Kim revealed that she had begun drinking again after abstaining for several years. "I started to drink a little bit at the age of 42. Coffee and alcohol," she told Gwyneth Paltrow of her two "vices" while appearing on her goop podcast in December. "I feel like I just gotta let loose a little bit."

Kim said enjoying a drink is her way of unwinding after a long, hectic day of juggling work commitments and her four young kids.

"I just don't ever feel comfortable just laying around doing nothing. So my version of that has been to spend some time with my friends and have a drink and stay out a little bit later, when I probably wouldn't have done that before," she said.

At the time, Kim shared that her new drink of choice was tequila. "It just has to be a little shot of pineapple and a shot of tequila," she noted. "I have two shots and I'm like so good. It's been fun."

The girls' mother, Kris Jenner, also prefers hard liquor to beer.

Kim said in a June interview with Vogue Italia: “I constantly ask: ‘How did you do it? Six kids, six big personalities. We’re all so different, how did you really handle it?”

She then spilled her mother's secret weapon. "She is just like, 'Why do you think I had my vodka at 5 o’clock every day?'"
