Get to know Kieran Culkin’s clan!
While the Succession actor comes from a famous family himself, he’s started his own brood in recent years.
Culkin and his wife Jazz Charton are parents to two children, a daughter named Kinsey Sioux and a son named Wilder Wolf.
Though the couple, who tied the knot in 2013, tends to keep their children out of the spotlight by shielding their faces on social media posts, they have given several glimpses of their sweet family life since becoming parents.
In fact, Culkin has already expressed his desire to have more children! While accepting the award for outstanding lead actor in a drama series at the 75th Emmy Awards, the actor called out his wife, teasing that he wants more kids.
“I've been asking for a while," Culkin explained to reporters about why he announced "I want more" while accepting his award for his role in Succession.
"Jazz said, ‘Maybe if you win the Emmy,' ” he continued. “I didn't bring it up for months, and then when I won the Globe, I said, ‘Do you remember what you said?’ And she was like, ‘What? No. What did I say? I don't remember this.’ ”
Here’s everything to know about Culkin and Charton’s kids.

Kinsey Sioux was born on Friday the 13th
Culkin and Charton became first-time parents in September 2019 when they welcomed their daughter Kinsey Sioux. Charton announced the news on Instagram, revealing that she was born on Friday the 13th during a full moon. “Of course our daughter was born on Friday the 13th,” she joked on Instagram, adding that Kinsey arrived after “25 hours of laboring at home.”
“We arrived at the hospital too late for any pain meds as I was already dilated and ready to push (if I ever do this again I want ALL THE DRUGS, all of them!) and she was out within the hour during a full moon on Friday the 13th,” she added, sharing a photo of her cradling her newborn, whom they nicknamed Zissou. “I’ve never been more in love and we’ve never felt more complete.”
Kieran Culkin and Jazz Charton never considered being parents until they had their daughter
During an appearance on the Fresh Air podcast, Culkin opened up about parenthood, saying that “it was never something we considered until we did it.”
“Now it is quite actually the greatest — way better than I could have imagined!” he continued. “It doesn't matter how hard it gets. Like with anything else, you have a job that's too difficult or a relationship that's too hard, you just end it. It's like, done, move on. [With parenthood] it doesn't matter how hard it gets. It's always fulfilling and always wonderful. And I'm only two years into it. So who knows, but it's the greatest thing, way better than I could have imagined.”
Wilder Wolf was born in August 2021
About two years after Kinsey was born, Culkin and Charton welcomed their second child, a baby boy named Wilder Wolf on Aug. 17, 2021. Charton announced his arrival a month later, sharing a carousel of photos that gave a peek into her life as a mom of two.
"One month with our perfect little man," Charton wrote in the caption. She went on to share their son's birth date and added the hashtag "gettheepidural,” a reference to her first birth during which she didn’t receive any pain medication.
Kinsey had the only room in the family's apartment after Wilder’s birth
During an interview with The Telegraph published in December 2021, Culkin discussed his hectic life as a father of two, which included staying in their one-bedroom apartment. Kinsey slept in the bedroom and Culkin and Charton slept on a mattress on the floor (and Wilder presumably in a crib).
“I don't even sit down when I eat anymore,” Culkin told the publication.
Kieran Culkin doesn’t like to be away from his kids for too long
In a chat with Taika Waititi for Interview, Culkin opened up about balancing his work and home life as he was filming a project in Poland.
"I have a 1 1⁄2-year-old and a 3 1⁄2-year-old, and we’re going to be bouncing around Poland. I don’t like being away from them for more than two days at a time, and it’s not practical for me to have them there the whole time," he said "I’m working on trying to convince my wife [Jazz Charton] to come out for two weeks and bring the kids. It’s just a lot on her."
He went on to recall a conversation with a friend who had to travel away from his kids for months at a time, saying, "I remember thinking, 'You must have a very disconnected relationship with them.'"
"Then I see him with his kids, and they’re still intensely close. I guess there’s just an understanding that Dad has to go away for long stretches of time. But I saw that and I’m like, 'Oh, okay. There’s still a chance to be a good parent and have a connection with your kids even if you’re busy,' " said Culkin, adding, "But then again, my kids are between 1 and 3. I do need to be home because if I go for a week, they change."
They’ve visited Kieran Culkin on set
While Culkin makes a point to see his kids as often as possible when he’s working, his kids have also visited him on set from time to time. In May 2023, Charton posted a handful of sweet photos of his kids roaming around his Succession character Logan Roy’s apartment.
"The alternate reality Roman where he’s a dad but still an arsehold (♥️ ),” Charton teased in the caption.
Kieran Culkin wants more kids
While accepting the award for outstanding lead actor in a drama series at the 75th Emmy Awards, the actor gave a shoutout to his wife and their family during his speech, thanking her "for sharing your life with me and for giving me two amazing kids."
At the end of his speech, he quipped that he wanted more children as his wife laughed from her seat. "You said maybe, if I win!" he continued showing his award.
Following his speech, Culkin clarified to reporters that he’s been asking his wife about having more kids for “a while.” "Jazz said, ‘Maybe if you win the Emmy,' ” he recalled. “I didn't bring it up for months, and then when I won the Globe, I said, ‘Do you remember what you said?’ And she was like, ‘What? No. What did I say? I don't remember this.’ ”
“So I told her, and then it all came back to her,” he continued. “So then she spent the whole week being nervous."
