What does the immunity ruling mean for the election?

The Supreme Court’s blockbuster decision on Monday granted presidents immunity from criminal prosecution for some of their official actions and a presumption of immunity for others.

The ruling means the presumptive 2024 GOP nominee Donald Trump - already a convicted felon - will not be tried during the campaign on charges that he tried to steal the 2020 election from President Joe Biden.

Beryl breaks record as earliest ever to hit max strength

Hurricane Beryl became the earliest Category 5 hurricane on record Monday night, with winds up to 160 mph as it barreled into the southeast Caribbean. The explosive increase in wind speeds is a record for the strongest hurricane this early in the season. Those are ominous signs of what weather experts see as danger ahead in what is expected to be a hyperactive season for major storms. Experts say Beryl's quick emergence is a "massive warning sign."

The Biden campaign is in damage control

USMNT is out of Copa America

Gregg Berhalter's tenure as U.S. head coach could be on the line after his team failed to advance from the group stage of the Copa America following their crushing 1-0 defeat by Uruguay in Kansas City on Monday. The American tournament hosts failed to deliver and were knocked out after Uruguay sealed the top spot and Panama secured second place. Asked whether he thought he was the right person to lead the team up to the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted by the U.S., Canada and Mexico, Berhalter was in no doubt. Read more
