Couples that work together, stay together — but they don’t always talk to each other!

Kirsten Dunst and husband Jesse Plemons have lots of experience in this arena — they met on the set of FX's Fargo in 2015 and co-starred in 2021’s Power of the Dog.

This year, Plemons, 35, and Dunst, 41, will once again appear on the big screen together in the Alex Garland-directed action film Civil War, and it’s all thanks to Dunst, she told Marie Claire.

The Marie Antoinette star recommended Plemons for a minor role in the film after the original actor was unable to fill it, she told the magazine.

"Alex is very lucky that I'm married to... the best actor," she said with a laugh.

The stars — who got married in 2022 and share two sons — do not interact much onscreen in Civil War (Plemons only stars in one scene) and according to Dunst, they did not interact much on set, either.

“Because we fell in love on a set, we fell in love creatively first,” she told Marie Claire. “I think we'll always come back to that, in a very not-involving-our-real-life way.”

"And also, listen, we don't talk to each other on set,” she added. “I left him alone, he left me alone."

But don’t get it twisted — the Bring It On star loves filming with Plemons.

"I love working with him," she told the magazine, adding that “what’s nice is that we trust each other so much.”

And their collaboration extends beyond projects that both of the stars are cast in, she added.

“He sent me a scene last night of this miniseries he's working on to get my opinion. If I'm having a hard time deciding on something, I'll have him read it,” she said. “I trust his opinion more than anyone, and he cares about me more than anyone."

Also, she and Plemons “hate the same things,” Dunst noted with a laugh.
