Kit Kat thief leaves apologetic note after stealing chocolate bar from car
By Karina Nowysz
Hunger will make people do irrational things, and for some this might even include committing a crime. That’s what happened when a thief spotted a Kit Kat chocolate bar in a car.
But it turns out the Kit Kat thief was also polite.
The perpetrator first checked if the car door was unlocked before attempting to take the Kit Kat bar from the cup holder. He then left a note apologizing for his crime.
Hunter Jobbins, a student at Kansas State University, said left his car for 15 minutes. When he returned, his chocolate bar was gone and in its place was a handwritten note on a piece of tissue.
“Saw Kit Kat in your cup holder. I love Kit Kats so I checked your door and it was unlocked. Did not take anything other than the Kit-Kat. I am sorry and hungry,” the note read.
“When I came across it, at first I was kind of upset and wondering what happened to my Kit Kat,” Jobbins told Metro.
“Then I realized how funny it was that it happened, so my frustration turned into laughter.”
It seems most people on Twitter also saw the humour in the incident.
