Kris Jenner Opens Up About Needing Her Ovaries Removed in an "Emotional" 'Kardashians' Reveal

"It's a whole chapter that's closed."

The Kardashians may have its fun moments, but the show also allows the family to get real and raw about their life struggles. Kris Jenner was the latest member of the family to open up about a serious personal issue on the latest episode of the reality television series.

"I went to the doctor, and I had my scan. They found — and this just makes me really emotional but — they found a cyst and, like, a little tumor on my ovary," she told Kendall Jenner alongside Kim and Khloé Kardashian while still on their family trip to Aspen, Colorado.

In an aside, the Kar-Jenner matriarch explained that having her ovaries removed is difficult for her to process because it ties so largely into the family that she has built. "I'm emotional about it because that's where all my kids were conceived and that's where they were grown, in my tummy and so, this [is a] very sacred place to me," Kris explained in a confessional interview.

With her daughters, Kris also noted that needing her ovaries removed cements that she is, in fact, aging, and can't stop the process—"It's also a thing of getting older, and it's a sign that we're done with this part of your life. It's a whole chapter that's closed."

Kris's girls all had different reactions to the news, with Kim saying that her mother's upcoming procedure "really big deal," and that she feels "really sad" for her mom. Though Kourtney wasn't in attendance—she FaceTimed in to hear the conversation—she noted in her confessional that she would feel the "same way" as Kris, adding, "It's like your womanly power. And it doesn't mean that it's taking away who she is or what she's experienced, but I would feel this sentimental thing of what it's created."

Kendall, meanwhile, had more practical thoughts towards Kris's news: "I get her emotion behind it. I get that it's sad because they have brought all her kids into the world, which is totally fair. But at the same time, what are we going to use those for?" she wondered in a confessional. "If they're potentially hurting you, let's get them out of there."

While Kendall, Kim, and Khloé proposed an ovary removal party for Kris, Kris's boyfriend Corey Gamble gives her a gift because he knows she'll cry "at least 15 more times."

Jenner is also a mom to Kylie Jenner and Rob Kardashian. The matriarch has a total of 13 grandchildren, with Kourtney's son with Travis Barker, Rocky, being the latest addition to the family.
