Kristen Stewart Gives Us Another Lesson in Cool for Chanel's Spring 2020 Campaign

Further proof that pearls are badass.

Kristen Stewart was a favorite of Karl Lagerfeld's. And it seems she's become a muse of Chanel's new creative lead, Virginie Viard, as well. The actor stars in the French luxury brand's Spring 2020 campaign doing what she does best: looking effortlessly cool in pearls.

Photographed by Jean-Baptiste Mondino, Stewart models embellished blazers accessorized with layered jewelry from Chanel's latest ready-to-wear, shown last fall in Paris. The promotional images were shot in a studio with a gray background and capture the brand's longtime ambassador hopping on a trampoline (hence the messiness of Stewart's dirty blonde coif).

"The clothes feel activated," she told WWD in December. "You're meant to do something in them, not just sit and look pretty."

The lesson to be learned here? A satin bubblegum pink Chanel set can do more than impress a tweed-heavy crowd at a ladies luncheon: Simply add a polished smokey eye, lose the blouse and pile on beaded necklaces.
