After standing out in a red Jean Paul Gaultier dress at last year’s Met Gala, Kylie Jenner has opted for a radically different look this time around. The Khy founder walked the red carpet on her own, wearing a cream Oscar de la Renta gown with a bullet bra top in honor of the night’s “The Garden of Time” dress code. Her hair was styled in a bun with a rose sticking out to complement her dress.

Jenner had her hair up last year and kept her beauty more muted to let her bold asymmetrical red and light blue dress take the spotlight during the “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty”-themed gala.
Jenner told ELLE.com in March that the Met Gala gave her one of her favorite fashion moments. “One of my favorite red carpet looks has to be the purple Versace look I wore to the [2019] Met Gala,” she said. “I loved seeing all my fans recreate it for Halloween.”
She spoke more broadly about how her style has changed over the years during a November 2023 interview with ELLE.com.
“I’m always changing my look,” she said. “I like to do themes. When I went to Paris, I wore a lot of beautiful dresses, like [the] Bottega and [the] Schiaparelli, and people thought I was changing my style. But I think my real fans knew, oh no, she’s just in Paris—she’s leaning in, she’s having a moment. That’s what I’ve been putting into [my fashion line] Khy and the inspiration behind Khy the brand—all of our drops are so different, and I think people will be surprised to see our next drop and all the drops to come, because I am always switching things up. I love trying new things. But I can’t wait to go to Paris again!”
