Kylie Jenner's Petition to Change Baby Son's Name Officially Granted

Kylie Jenner's baby boy is officially, legally named Aire Webster.

After filing to change her now 20-month-old son's name in June, a judge has ruled that the little boy's name can be changed from the previous name given to him at birth — Wolf Jacques Webster.

The Kylie Cosmetics founder, 26, appeared virtually in the hearing on Friday, with court documents obtained by PEOPLE saying she was sworn in and testified at the hearing.

Travis Scott, 32, with whom she shares Aire and daughter Stormi, 5, did not appear.

"The Court finds that the other parent was timely notified and has not filed an objection," the documents read. "There being no objections, the petition for change of name is granted."

Jenner first opened up about changing her son's name when she wrote on her Instagram Story in March 2022 that her second child "isn't Wolf anymore."

"We just really didn't feel like it was him. Just wanted to share because I keep seeing Wolf everywhere," Jenner wrote at the time, not clarifying if the middle name Jacques was axed as well.

The Kardashians star revealed her son’s new name for the first time in January in the caption of her Instagram post: "AIRE 🤍." A source told PEOPLE at the time that the moniker means "Lion of God."

Speaking with best friend Anastasia "Stassie" Karanikolaou in the season 3 finale of The Kardashians, the Kylie Cosmetics founder updates her bestie on her son's name.

"I've officially started the process of changing my son's name because his legal name is Wolf Webster," she explained. "So I'm going to do Aire Webster, A-I-R-E."

In her confessional, Jenner explained, "I didn't realize the postpartum would hit me that hard. I never called him Wolf, ever. And then the second, that night, I cried in the shower."

She thought to herself, "That's not his name. What did I just do? Wolf? Someone just told me this 24 hours ago, to name my son Wolf! It wasn't even on the list!"
