Kylie Kelce Says Prioritizing Exercising Sets a 'Good Example' for Her 3 Daughters
Kylie, wife of NFL star Jason Kelce, told Eating Well she always makes sure that physical activity is part of her and her kids' day
Kylie Kelce is modeling healthy habits for her kids.
In a new interview with Eating Well, the 31-year-old mom of three opened up about her workout routine and why she believes it's important for her daughters — Bennett, 11 months, Elliotte, 2½, and Wyatt, 4 — to see her working up a sweat.
Kelce, who is married to Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, told the outlet that she has a babysitter come to the house a bit earlier in the morning so she can enjoy what she calls "a little 'mom shutdown.' "
"Then I actually go and walk for quite some distance just to clear my head. Sometimes I'll answer emails while I'm walking. It's a really good way to sort of take a step back," she explained.
Kylie said her solo walk not only benefits her health and well-being, but also shows her children that taking time to move your body is a good habit to embrace.
"I think that it's a good example for our girls that I'm going out to exercise and making sure that activity is part of our day," she noted, adding that she also likes to take walks with her daughters.
"Once it gets warmer, we'll go on long walks together where we'll go find a leaf of this color or a big stick and a medium stick, we do that sort of stuff."
Kylie also shared her very relatable struggles to find meals that all three kids will enjoy. "Getting toddlers to eat anything is like pulling teeth," she told Eating Well of her kids' picky palates. "They will eat something one day and the next day they're like, 'I don't know why you thought I would even look at that.' "
"The perfect example is meatballs," she continued. "Last night, for instance, our oldest ate six meatballs. Our middle didn't touch them, wouldn't even look at them, but had a lot of pasta with extra Parmesan cheese. And our youngest is like a garbage disposal, she will eat anything you put in front of her."
At the moment, the winning option seems to be "something with pasta," she added.

Earlier this week, Kylie told PEOPLE she and Jason would be heading to Las Vegas to cheer on his brother Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs as they face off against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday.
However, she noted the trip would not be a total family affair, as their daughters are staying home.
"I think it's a little bit controversial, but even during regular season games, I don't take the girls to every game. They're still very young," she explained. "A stadium with thousands of people can be overwhelming, and there's three of them. It can get hectic, it's just a lot."
Kylie said she knows the girls will enjoy the experience more from the comfort of home anyway.
"The thought of traveling cross-country with them [while] Jason's going to be super busy, and putting them in maybe a stressful environment, isn't ideal," she stated. "We think they'll be much, much happier to see Uncle Trav on the TV because it'll be easier to see him, and they can cheer him on that way."
