Lamborghini 'completely burned out' after erupting into flames on Lake Shore

Fire crews are on the scene of car fire that left a Lamborghini "completely burned out" in the city's downtown core, Toronto police say.

Police were called to Lake Shore Boulevard near the Don Valley Parkway just after 7 p.m. for reports that the luxury vehicle hit the guardrail before becoming engulfed in flames.

No one was injured in the incident, with all the car's occupants having escaped before the fire broke out, Const. Jennifferjit Sidhu said.

It's too early to know if speed played a role in the incident she said, or if any charges are possible.

A flatbed tow-truck was needed to clear the wreckage, Sidhu said.

Eastbound Lake Shore Boulevard was expected to remain closed at Cherry Street until 10 p.m.
