See 2023 primary election results for Kentucky governor, other down-ballot races

Polls in Kentucky are now closed (or will close soon in the western-most parts of the state) and election workers across the state are beginning to tabulate the results.

Kentucky’s closely-watched governor race — which sets up who from the Republican Party will face off against the assumed-Democratic nominee, incumbent Andy Beshear — is the biggest question of the evening.

But other statewide offices and party nominations were also decided Tuesday, including the Republican nominee for Secretary of State, candidates for Commissioner of Agriculture, and a special election for a Central Kentucky State Senate seat.

Not all races this go around will have Republican and Democratic party results — some parties only had one candidate run in a given race, and they automatically become the eventual party nominee. Those races and candidates can be found on the Secretary of State’s website.

The tables below will update as new results are available from the Secretary of State, whose office processes polling results from every county in Kentucky. Technical issues in the fall delayed some of those results from being available until late in the evening. It’s unclear if those problems will reappear tonight.
