The Night Agent is based on the Matthew Quirk novel of the same name.
Season 1 follows Peter Sutherland (Basso), "a low-level FBI agent who works in the basement of the White House, manning a phone that never rings -- until the night that it does, propelling him into a fast moving and dangerous conspiracy that ultimately leads all the way to the Oval Office."
The Season 1 cast also includes Luciane Buchanan, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Sarah Desjardins, Eve Harlow, Phoenix Raei, Enrique Murciano, D.B. Woodside and Hong Chau.
The Night Agent premiered on Netflix in March 2023, debuting at the No. 1 spot on the English-language TV list with 168.71 million hours viewed.
The series was renewed for Season 2 in March 2023 following its premiere.
The Night Agent is created and executive produced by The Shield creator Shawn Ryan, who also serves as showrunner.
