Following a surge in rent rates in 2022, rates remain high in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

A population boom paired with low supply caused rent prices to soar in 2022. While rent costs in North Texas have plateaued this year, average rates remains high, according to an ApartmentData.com report.

ApartmentData.com has provided apartment data for Texas markets since 1986, deriving their data by continuously surveying apartment communities.

The Dallas-Fort Worth area saw a 0.3 percent rental rate growth in the last 12 months as of May, according to ApartmentData.com.

The five hottest submarkets in North Texas over the past three months are downtown Dallas, East Irving, Grand Prairie, Oak Lawn and South Arlington.
