Lottery player can’t sleep after her huge win in Virginia. Now she’s ‘on cloud nine’

A Virginia woman “was up all night” after winning the top prize on a scratch-off ticket, state lottery officials said.

The Quinton woman scratched the Money Blitz ticket while on the phone with her fiancé and soon realized how much she’d won: $2 million, according to a May 11 news release from the Virginia Lottery.

She bought the $20 ticket from a Safeway store in Fairfax.

I never went to sleep,” she told lottery officials. “I was up all night!”
