Love Island's Casa Amor episode breaks recordITV

Love Island's latest episode last night (July 3) saw the explosive return of Casa Amor and led to record-breaking viewership for this series.

The twist, which often puts a huge strain on the relationships within the villa, saw the Love Island girls move to Casa Amor to see if they were tempted away by any new male Islanders.

Meanwhile, the boys were left in the main villa and joined by new bombshell women - with Ayo Odukoya and Sean Stone both cosying up to new residents behind their partner's backs.

Ahead of an extended episode set to air tonight (July 4) in the fiery fallout, the previous episode broke viewing records for the eleventh series of Love Island.

Last night's episode reached a 1.4 million peak viewership, the highest-rated episode of the current series since its launch. The episode also pulled the biggest 16 to 34 overnight audience of this series so far, with 449,000.

The episode ended with a gut-wrenching twist when Matilda Draper and Konnor Ewudzi received texts which confirmed their time getting to know the new additions to the cast was over, meaning the show's hardest recoupling was next.

Tonight's episode will see the boys and girls decide whether to enter the Villa with someone new or stick with their original partners. A sneak peek of the drama set to unfold showed Maya teary-eyed at one emotional reunion.

Meanwhile, post-villa romance is seemingly more drama-free for Curtis Pritchard, who has now confirmed his relationship with Sophie Sheridan on social media after rumours of their connection since performing panto together.

Sharing some photographs of them on holiday in St Lucia, Curtis said he was having "the best time away with my [heart emoji]".

Love Island airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX.
