Love Island's Georgia S breaks silence following All Stars backlash

Love Island: All Stars' Georgia Steel has broken her silence over the fan backlash.

In the reality series just finished, Georgia and Toby Aromolaran hooked up again and left the villa together, but Georgia recently confessed to The Sun that she feared the public's perception of her could affect their relationship.

"I felt like the most hated woman in the country," she said after some horrific trolling. "I had a feeling I would get some stick when I got out but never did I know that the trolling would be so intense.

"I've had death threats, my family and friends have had death threats and I feel slightly responsible for that.

"It was an entertainment show at the end of the day, and coming out of it, I have felt down. I don't want people I love to go through that," reflected Georgia.

"I haven't watched the show back but I don't think I did anything wrong. My friends and family have told me I didn't. I don't regret anything. I was just embracing the Love Island experience.

"Yeah, I might have gone about things the wrong way, but people have to appreciate I am a 25-year-old girl navigating things in the villa, and I'm not going to be perfect."

Despite the toll this has taken on her, Georgia revealed that she and "best friend" Toby are doing "really, really well".

"I thought, 'I hope Toby is not reading that, I hope it won't influence how he feels about me...'" she said.

"His support is just amazing and that's all I feel like I need. He takes me at face value. He has known me a long time and if anything, this has probably made us stronger," she added, while confirming that they aren't quite official yet.

"We are 'locked in' still. I like it that way at the moment. I want to embrace our time on the outside together and have fun.

"I think it's definitely going in that direction, I couldn't imagine him not in my life, but I just want to not put pressure on it."

Love Island: All Stars aired on ITV2, ITVX and STV.
