Lucien Laviscount Applauds 'Absolute Trouper' Ashley Park, Praises Her 'Wonderful' Boyfriend Paul Forman (Exclusive)
The 'Emily in Paris' actress was treated for "critical septic shock" in late December
Lucien Laviscount is so proud of Ashley Park’s resilience amid her recent health battle.
The actor, 31, gave an update on his Emily in Paris costar, whom he called a “rock star,” at Elton John’s AIDS Foundation Oscars Viewing Party on Sunday.
“She's an absolute trouper,” he told PEOPLE of Park, 32, who was treated for tonsillitis which "spiraled into critical septic shock” and spent several weeks in intensive care late last year.
While it was shocking “for something to wipe someone so powerful and so strong,” Laviscount said “she's come back stronger than ever.”
“She's out in Dubai, just going through the medical stuff there," Laviscount added, sharing that he was getting "goosebumps" talking about her incredible “energy” as she continues to recover.
He summed up, “She's happy, she's shining. I don't think it'll take more than that to say her shine away. And she's crushing it.”
And the Joy Ride star’s boyfriend Paul Forman has played a major role in her recovery — when she shared the news of her health battle on Instagram, she noted that Forman, 29, had been by her side “unconditionally.”
“I love you Paul. More than I can ever say,” she wrote at the time.
Laviscount told PEOPLE that Forman, who played Park’s love interest in season 3 of Emily in Paris, has been a rock for his girlfriend in recent months.
“For them to be together and going through what they're going through, I don't want to speak on anyone [else's] relationship, but himself — he's a wonderful human,” he affirmed.
“He's not got a bad bone on his body, that boy,” Laviscount continued before praising Forman and Park as a match. “To find your human is a magical thing, and they're magic.”

Laviscount, Park and Lily Collins have all been in Paris since early January to film season 4 of their hit Netflix series, and the actor said they’re “coming up to about halfway through the season.”
“It's been an amazing run. Honestly, I think this year everyone knows the characters a little bit more and the writers are just diving in a little bit deeper,” he said, before teasing what’s to come from his character in the new installment.
“Alfie has a little bit more of a darker shade to him because he's going through a little bit more on a personal side, so he's not as carefree,” Laviscount revealed. “You kind of get a little bit deep into Alfie's mental, and how he copes with things.”
He added, “I think it’s going to be a wild one.”
