Lukas Gage Jokes His Mom 'Loved' His NSFW Scene on “White Lotus”: 'She Was Like, Go For It!'
"She didn't care," said Gage about his mom's reaction to his viral 'White Lotus' scene
Lukas Gage's mother was completely okay with his graphic sex scene in season one of The White Lotus.
The actor, 28 shared on Live with Kelly and Mark on Friday that his mom "loved" the intimate scene that Gage had with Murray Bartlett where Gage is literally caught with his pants down.
".She loved it. She didn't care,' said Gage with a smile. "She was like, 'Go for it!' My mom is really cool and understanding about that kind of thing. She says I have the cutest butt in Hollywood, too."
Gage told PEOPLE in February 2023 that he's comfortable acting in shows that include nudity as long as there is "really good writing and fully formed characters [and] their sexuality and their sex life are a part of that."

"I think we're entering an era of just truthful storytelling and authenticity... So I'm okay with it. I'm here for it," he said.
Bartlett, 53, who won outstanding supporting actor in a limited series or movie at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards for his portrayal of White Lotus hotel manager Armond, expressed similar sentiments to PEOPLE in June 2022.
"I like being able to show intimacy between men that feels genuine and loving and real, because I didn't get to see that in TV and film very much when I was growing up. We're all human beings with strengths and vulnerabilities. I love being able to show all those sides," said Bartlett.

Gage continues to step out of his comfort zone in the 2024 remake of Road House starring Jake Gyllenhaal.
"It was so amazing. It was so fun to be a part of something so big, so full of action like that. So involved and immersive where I was able to learn how to fight. I've never been asked to do that before," he shared with PEOPLE at the film's SXSW premiere earlier in March.

"I could barely throw a punch before we started and now I can maybe kick someone's ass if they try to bite me. But yeah, it was just so cool to be a part of something like this," he continued." And I've been a fan of Jake for so long and [director] Doug Liman forever. So it was a dream scenario."
