MAFS Australia drama as star withdraws from show
Married at First Sight Australia spoilers follow.
Married at First Sight Australia has aired a shocking first as one of the participants withdrew from the show before their wedding ceremony.
Tonight's (February 28) episode saw expert John Aiken make a visit to the home of participant Michael Felix in order to give him the "disappointing update" that his match Simon had chosen to leave the series.
"After the bucks and hens night your match decided to send us an email saying he no longer wanted to be a part of the experiment," John told him.
"That sucks," Michael replied, adding: "I feel like somebody just ripped my heart out of my chest. I wanna be understanding of his side but I want to know why."

Despite the devastating setback, John reassured Michael that it wasn't the end of the road for him, adding that he, Mel and Alessandra were still searching for his perfect match.
"I don't want you to take this personally," John continued. "This happened because your match couldn't take the pressure of the experiment.
"Hold on, don't give up hope because we certainly haven't."
Even though Michael was left without a match, he remained positive for his future on the series, later telling the camera: "Maybe this means I've dodged a bullet."

Viewers at home were also left shocked by the unexpected twist, with one person writing on X, formerly known as Twitter: "I feel gutted for Michael, my stomach turned over when I discovered it was him. I hope they can find someone 'special' for him as he seems SO sweet."
"So gutted for Michael as Simon seemed so lovely but so positive he’ll find the perfect person," a second person wrote, while a third added: "Wow! Not Michael being abandoned BEFORE getting to the aisle."
