A 22-year-old has been arrested and charged in a Sunday road rage shooting in Fort Worth that sent one person to the hospital, according to a news release from Fort Worth police.
David Mora, 22, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to the news release. Police responded to the shooting near the intersection of Sycamore School Road and Hemphill Street to find a victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim has survived.
The victim told police they honked a horn after a blue Nissan swerved near their car while driving on Sycamore School Road, according to the news release. That’s when the suspect fired off several rounds, hitting the victim and the victim’s car before driving away from the scene.
Police cameras across the city were able to locate the suspect’s vehicle and provide directions to officers, who connected the license plate and the description to Mora, according to the news release. Mora was arrested on an outstanding warrant for evading arrest and has since been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Authorities said other charges are pending.
