Man bailed after service station burglary

A man arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary at a Guernsey service station has been released on bail, officers have said.

Guernsey Police arrested a 24-year-old man after an assault on a staff member at the Vale Road Service Station between 03:30 and 04:00 BST on 30 April.

The staff member needed hospital treatment for their injuries.

Officers said the arrested man had since been released on bail while inquiries continue.

The force appealed for witnesses to come forward, with Crimestoppers offering a £750 reward for information leading to an arrest.
