This Man Turns Strangers’ Cars Into Supercars Using... Cardboard?

Some people roam the street at nights fighting crime, others are up to no good - but photographer Max Siedentopf goes around Amsterdam turning normal cars into supercars.

Rather than Pimp My Ride’s ubiquitous plexiglass, he does it using cardboard. The results are these funny, sweet and strangely sad photos.

The cars vary from Peugots and Volkswagens to Audis, all fitted out with cardboard fenders, spoilers and wings.

Siedentopf told Vice that he customises Amsterdam’s cars because, “Individuality, self-expression and status are more important than ever these days.

“But for some reason you see that things as ordinary as cars are getting personalised less and less, while it could be a strange but great form of self-expression. I thought I’d do people a favour by giving them a custom-made supercar.“

You’re welcome, Amsterdam. Check out more of Max’s work here.
