Man wounded in shooting Wednesday afternoon on Houston Avenue in Macon
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left one man wounded Wednesday afternoon in the 3400 block of Houston Avenue in Macon.
The incident was called in to the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center at 4:18 p.m., according to a news release.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they discovered a 28-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics provided medical treatment before transporting the victim to a medical facility. The man, who was not identified, was reported to be in stable condition.
No one else was reported injured.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation, and other details were not immediately available. It wasn’t immediately known whether police have a suspect.
