Managua zoo welcomes two adorable jaguar cubs
STORY: The female and male cubs were born on May 18.
Because of their young age, both remain inside a closed enclosure with no direct sunlight with their mother, the zoo's veterinarian, Eduardo Sacasa, told Reuters on Monday (July 11).
Sacasa hopes that once they reach 3 months old, they'll be able to go out to their enclosure's patio.
The cubs are monitored 24 hours a day by their caretakers through video.
Their names will be chosen by school children through a contest. The only condition is that they must be in the indigenous Nahuatl or Miskito languages.
