Whether you’re someone who still sleeps with their ‘blanky’, finds themselves waking up with their thumb in their mouth after a night of thunder and lightning or still insist on snoozing with a nightlight, Margot Robbie will certainly sympathise.

During an episode of W magazine's new podcast Five Things With Lynn Hirschberg, the Bombshell actress reflected on childhood memories and her bedtime rituals.

Discussing the love she still has for her stuffed rabbit, Bunny, which she’s had since birth, Robbie said that her husband Tom Ackerley isn’t a huge fan of her toy.

‘[My husband] always throws Bunny out of the bed because he obviously thinks it's a tad ridiculous that I still sleep with Bunny,’ the 29-year-old explained.

‘Maybe he's a little jealous that Bunny always gets priority place in the bed. He thinks I'm asleep and he'll throw Bunny out of the bed and I get so cross with him.’

During the interview, Robbie – who married Ackerley in 2016 in a secret ceremony in Australia – also spoke about her experience working with Charlize Theron and Nicole Kidman on their upcoming film, Bombshell.

‘I remember thinking, “Holy sh*t, that's why she's Nicole Kidman”,' she recalled. 'The second they called action, she just became this crazy presence. I couldn't take my eyes off her.

‘Everything she said, even if it wasn't a terribly profound line it just suddenly felt powerful. And I was like "woah". It was so cool to witness first-hand. I remember thinking like, “Okay, I get it. I get why she is who she is because that is magical".’

The film is based on the real sexual harassment allegations against former Chairman and CEO of Fox News Roger Ailes (who died in May 2017, aged 77), told from the female employees' perspective.

Kidman plays former Fox presenter Gretchen Carlson, Theron stars as news anchor Megyn Kelly, while Robbie stars as fictional character Kayla Pospisil.

The actress also revealed a sweet moment she shared with Theron, who stayed late with her one night to support her during the filming of a rather dramatic scene.

‘My other really heavy scene where I'm on the phone with Kate McKinnon's character and it's really emotional and I kind of breakdown in that moment, Kate had to get on a plane to get back for SNL,’ Robbie recalled.

‘Charlize who wasn't working at all that day…It's 10 o'clock at night, the night before Thanksgiving, I mean she's got kids and stuff. She's there on set doing off camera dialogue for me so that I could do that scene.

‘I was like what a woman. And like giving it everything, not just reading lines, but really being in the scene with me and I was so blown away by that.’

Robbie and Theron are nominated for a Golden Globe and a SAG Award for their roles in the film, with Kidman up for a SAG award.
