Maria Shriver Amped as Son Patrick Schwarzenegger Joins “White Lotus”: 'Can't Wait to Visit' Set and Get 'Spoilers'
Schwarzenegger was announced as one of the latest high-profile stars to join season 3 of the HBO hit, which begins filming in Thailand in February
Patrick Schwarzenegger just scored another prestige acting gig yet, but his mother Maria Shriver might be even more excited than he is.
The 30-year-old actor was announced as a member of the White Lotus season 3 cast on Tuesday, and his mother, 68, couldn’t contain her pride in her oldest son as he joined what she called “one of my favorite shows of all time.”
“Patrick, Patrick, Patrick! I’m so proud of you!” Shriver wrote on Instagram. “Wow!!! All that hard work and determination is really paying off.”
She continued, “I can’t wait to visit you on set ( am I allowed to visit you on set?) and can’t wait to get all the spoilers from you (you will tell me, right? I am your mother after all!) Wow, wow, wow! See you at the White Lotus! 🪷 #proudmomalert.”
“LOVE YOU MAMA,” Schwarzenegger commented on the post, which also saw Shriver shout-out his recent engagement to model Abby Champion as well as his newly launched campaign with Emporio Armani.

The Staircase alum also shared his own excitement at the casting news on Instagram as thanked the creator Mike White “for believing in me.”
“I watch this show every week with my family and every time we would watch they say ‘why can’t you audition for this show!!!’. So voila !”
Champion, 26, also celebrated her beau’s achievement as she shared his post to her Instagram Story, writing, “So proud of you.”
The third installment of the hit HBO anthology series is also set to star Natasha Rothwell, who played spa manager Belinda Lindsey in season 1. She told PEOPLE that "people are going to be very pleased" by the season's plotline.
"I've just finished the season 3 scripts, and I'm going to have to say White Lotus is going to give you a run for your money," she said.
On Jan. 5, HBO announced the first slate of stars who will be appearing in the show, including Leslie Bibb, Dom Hetrakul, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey and Tayme Thapthimthong.
Along with Schwarzenegger’s announcement on Tuesday, Walton Goggins, Sarah Catherine Hook, Sam Nivola and Aimee Lou Wood were also confirmed.
Production is set to begin on the series in Thailand in February, and while no plot details have yet been released White has teased that he’s interested in exploring some of the season 2 characters’ stories further.
"Who knows, maybe there'll be another White Lotus season where Dominic comes with his wife and they patch it all up!" he teased to Esquire of Michael Imperioli’s character.
He also hinted at a possible continuation of Jon Gries' Greg Hunt and Haley Lu Richardson's Portia since season 2's final scenes left a lot of questions unanswered.
"I think as far as like, what happens to Greg and the conspiracy of Tanya's [Jennifer Coolidge] death, it's possible that I think Portia is scared enough to just leave it alone," White told Esquire. "But maybe you'll have to wait to find out what happens."
