New market coming to downtown Wetaskiwin next month

The owner of an antique shop in Downtown Wetaskiwin is looking for vendors for a market this summer.

Stacy Eckenswiller, who owns Forgotten in Time Antique Mall is organizing the event. She told The Pipestone Flyer that the market runs from May 20th until the September long weekend.

One block in front of the store on Main Street will be closed for the market, which takes place between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Sunday.

“What we’re looking for is vendors of all sorts, food trucks, or artisans, all sorts of different vendors, food, vegetables, antique tables,” Eckenswiller said.

Eckenswiller also asked non-profit organizations in the city to help them set up the event.

“We’re also looking for nonprofit and not-for-profit organizations to come and help with the setup and in the takedown, and they will leave with the proceeds of the rentals of the tables for that day,” Eckenswiller said.

She added that all proceeds of the event will go to charities.

The event is free to attend.
