Married At First Sight star Andrew Jury dies, aged 33

Married at First Sight New Zealand star Andrew Jury has passed away, aged 33.

One of the original grooms of the first NZ season, Jury took part in the show aired in 2017.

His death was announced via an Instagram post, with Warner Bros. Discovery adding in a statement that it takes duty of care "extremely seriously".

"Warner Bros. Discovery expresses our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Andrew Jury," WBD said in a statement (via New Zealand Herald).

"WBD takes duty of care extremely seriously and has protocols in place regarding the wellbeing of cast and crew. All MAFS NZ contributors have access to mental health professionals throughout the process, including pre-screening, during production and after broadcast."

The cast of season 1, including Brett and Angel Renall and Benjamin Blackwell, remembered Jury in an Instagram post, as per New Zealand Herald.

"It's with the heaviest hearts we've come together to acknowledge the passing of Andrew Jury," the post reads.

"We had the absolute pleasure of filming and participating in a show which leaves us intricately linked for a lifetime.

"Despite his struggles, Andrew was always friendly and the life of the party during our shared experience and he really valued his time on the show.

"At this time our entire cast wish to send our deepest condolences and love to his family - Ben, Angel, Brett, Vicky, Haydn, Lacey, Claire, Dom, Aaron, Luke, Belinda."

Married at First Sight UK airs on E4 in the UK. Married at First Sight Australia airs on Nine Network in Australia and E4 in the UK.
