Married teacher, 37, who kept a diary detailing sex with pupil, 14, is jailed

A married teacher who kept a sex diary detailing her relationship with a 14-year-old pupil has been jailed.

Nicole Wilfinger, 37, kept a journal that outlined pivotal moments of her exploits with the teenager, including when they had sex and were romantic with each other.

Other entries included “first time hanging out alone”, “first time having make-up sex” and “first time someone called him my boyfriend”.

Wilfinger’s diary acted as a damning confession to her illegal activities with the boy.

Police discovered that they had spoke on the phone nearly 2,000 times and had kissed in the classroom where she taught.

The former teacher at Molasky Junior High School in Las Vegas is even alleged to have carried on with the relationship after her arrest, wearing disguises in an attempt to see him.

Wilfinger, who pleaded guilty to one count of statutory sexual seduction and one count of sexual conduct between certain employees or volunteers of school, said: “I accept my responsibility I know this is my mistake.

“There’s nothing I can say or do to change what happened or the fact it happened or the fact that people were hurt by it.”

Judge William Kephart told her: “This is sickening.

“You’re an example to their children and they leave their children in your care probably more time than they probably even see them.”

Wilfinger was ordered to serve 28 to 72 months behind bars and must sign as a sex offender after her release.
