Martha Stewart Went All Out Hosting Granddaughter’s Tween Friends: ‘I Cooked Them the Best Gourmet Meals’
The star chef, who launched the World of Martha Amazon store and The Bedford restaurant in Las Vegas, spoke to PEOPLE for One Last Thing
Martha Stewart knows how to entertain a group of 12-year-old girls.
The star chef, 82, hosted her granddaughter and five friends for the weekend recently and aimed to impress. "I cooked them the best gourmet meals I could conjure up," she tells PEOPLE in this week's issue. "I was going to give them an apple tart lesson, but we ran out of time."

Last time I danced
At a wedding. Everybody was dancing, so I thought I better. I have to be coaxed out there, and then I just go with the flow.
Last time I stayed up too late
I do not have a bedtime. I am not a child. I am an adult. I watch shows like Billions and The Morning Show on my extra-large iPad in bed.
Last time one of my pets made me laugh
I have dogs, cats, chickens, five horses and five donkeys. This morning one of my horses, Geert, was just waiting for me to come and pet him in the stall. So I went over and nuzzled him.
Last game I played
I played three games of cards and won all of them while I was doing a commercial for Sketchers the other day. I’m very competitive. Why play games if you’re not going to win?
