Feb. 9 (UPI) -- A Maryland woman said a well-timed message about her aunt led to her winning a $50,000 lottery prize.

The Annapolis woman told Maryland Lottery officials that a message reminding her to pick up lottery tickets for her aunt led to her buying a $10 50X The Cash scratch-off ticket from the Chesapeake Market Citgo on South Cherry Grove in Annapolis.

The player scratched off a $50,000 prize.

"I became weak and pale, and almost passed out," she recalled.

The winner said she plans to put her prize money toward a new car.
