Sheen, who has also starred in The Damned United and Masters of Sex, previously spoke about the prospect of a third season of Good Omens, with his interview coming before the show was renewed for a third and final season.

“That's in the hands of the audience. If people watch it and like it, then there'll be a season 3 – it's as simple as that,” he told Metro.

“We all hope that that will be the case, but we'll have to wait and see and just hope that people really enjoy and appreciate what we've done in season 2.”

The Wheel airs on BBC One. Good Omens streams on Prime Video.
