Millie Bobby Brown's Pet Dog Makes Adorable Cameo on “The Tonight Show ”and Soaks Up the Applause
Brown, 20, stopped by the late-night show, hosted by Jimmy Fallon, with her 3-year-old poodle Winnie in tow
Millie Bobby Brown appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon — and she had a special guest in tow!
On Thursday night, the Stranger Things star, 20, stopped by Jimmy Fallon's desk and brought her adorable 3-year-old poodle Winnie, who wooed audiences with her own introduction and entrance to the late-night show.
After Brown sat down on the couch and talked with Fallo,49, for a moment, the two began discussing how the host had met Winnie for the first time just moments before heading on stage.
"I loved meeting your poodle backstage," Fallon told the Enola Holmes star.
"She somehow makes everything about her," Brown joked. "She's just so selfish. She's a queen."
After chatting about where the poodle was "right now as we're speaking," Brown revealed that she takes Winnie with her wherever she goes — including to all her film and TV shoots.
"If she hears my voice or sees me, she feels comfortable," the actress said, adding that she adopted Winnie during the COVID-19 pandemic. "But if she can't, she gets really anxious. We have a little co-dependency issue."
Fallon also asked if the dog was comfortable around audiences and large crowds.
"Actually, when she was 8 weeks, I took her to a Falcons game," she laughed. "I was just like, 'You got to get used to this, kid.' And she did! She was just like, OK, whatever.' And so now she just thrives on sets, [at] studios. She doesn't like being at the house. She's like, 'I want to go out. I want to go to work!'"
Moments later, the late-night host asked if Millie would like to come out and greet the New York City audience. The curtain was pulled back, and the Tonight Show audience cooed and clapped as the curly brown pup raced out from backstage, skipping over Brown entirely and making a beeline for the audience.
After a moment, Winnie settled in next to her dog mom, who revealed a fun fact about the clever poodle.
"She knows when I'm acting, and she knows when I'm actually really upset," Brown said.
"She knows when I'm fake crying," she added.
Brown also revealed that one stunt she did on the set of her upcoming film Damsel was just a bit too realistic for the poodle's liking.
"So, I actually, on Damsel, did a huge stunt. I had to jump from one cave to another, and I did the stunt, and she has never made a cry, a yelp — She knows when I'm acting," Brown said. "But this stunt was so realistic that she cried out to me because she thought I was actually going to die. And I remember just looking at her and being like, 'It's okay, baby.'"
