Mindy Kaling’s daughter may have the star quality needed to follow in her mom's footsteps.

On Wednesday, May 29, the Never Have I Ever creator, 44, sat down with Jennifer Hudson as a guest on The Jennifer Hudson Show and chatted about whether her kids, daughter Katherine “Kit,” 5, and son Spencer, 3, would ever want to be in show business.

“Do your babies know you’re famous?” the EGOT winner, 42, asked Kaling.

“Yes,” the mom-of-two said, adding “But in my family, my daughter is the star of the family.”

“So when we go out or we are in Disneyland and someone asks me for a photo, she’s like ‘Why are you asking her?’ It’s definitely like I’m a supporting cast member and so is her little brother, and she’s the star," added Kaling with a laugh.

“Do you think they will follow in your footsteps?” Hudson then asked.

“So far I could see my daughter doing it a little bit,” The Office star replied. “She did a little bit of musical theater and liked it, but again, wanted to be the star of the production and wasn’t and thus kind of lost interest.”

When it comes to her toddler son Spencer, “Not so much,” Kaling said. “He’s a little bit more shy.”

The Mindy Project star and creator recently celebrated Easter with Kit and Spencer, sharing the indoor egg hunt she put together in an Instagram post.

"Happy Easter everyone!" Kaling wrote in the caption. "7:01AM indoor egg hunt because of the rain! 🤷🏾‍♀️ thank goodness the Easter bunny had keys to the house and hid her eggs inside!"

The kids wore matching bunny pajamas while hunting for eggs hidden in the couch. Other images showed close-up views of the kids' Easter basket, complete with colorful patterned eggs with various treats and toys hidden inside.
