‘We will miss you all’: A popular Midlands bar and grill will close after 10 years
A popular bar and grill in the Irmo area says it plans to close.
Social Grill, located at 1002 AJ Amick Road, announced the coming closure in a March 1 Facebook post.
“We would like to extend our gratitude for 10 plus years of great memories and making even greater friends,” the bar and grill posted. “We appreciate the support more than words can express. We will be forever grateful to each of you. We will miss you all.
“That being said, we are opting to bow out gracefully. Our last day of operation will be Saturday, March 9th. We hope that until then, you will come out and enjoy some food & drink specials, along with some big surprises Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Let’s go out with a bang!!!”
The announcement drew an immediate reaction on Facebook, garnering more than 200 reactions and nearly 100 comments in less than an hour, with customers sharing memories.
“Our first date was here and then our small reception after we got married,” one commenter said. “Will miss this place for sure!”
Social Grill has been known for its pool tables and its menu that features sandwiches, burgers, wings, seafood, cold drinks and more.
